VENUE & COURSE

The Flying Doctor Rowathon will be held out of Wentworth District Rowing Club (WDRC) on both the Murray and Darling Rivers.

Further information about the Rowathon is available on "The Rowathon Day" page.

WEATHER

Please note that we will be monitoring the weather and river conditions leading up to the event, particularly river flows and potential for rain or high temperatures, and will contact you if we need to make adjustments to the day/course.

FRIDAY EVENING BBQ

WDRC will be providing a Country BBQ on the Friday evening, so if you arrive in time to rig boats or just in time for a relaxing drink by the river, join in for the BBQ. You pay WDRC on the night. It’s a great way to start the weekend and catch up with friends.

CHECK IN

Crew check in will be available on the Friday, September 13, at the Wentworth District Rowing Club between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., while the BBQ is on or during breakfast at the Club if you arrive late. At check in you will receive your t-shirts, crew instructions, river charts and a bow number. Parking for trailers will be available on the foreshore beside the rowing club. Please look for signs leading to the gate entrance and parking area.

ACCOMMODATION

We trust that you and your crews have booked your accommodation. If you have not and are having trouble, there are links to the Wentworth and Mildura tourism offices and sites on our website. In any event, we urge you to go ahead and organise your accommodation as soon as possible.

FUNDRAISING FOR THE ROYAL FLYING DOCTOR SERVICE

We remind you that the reason for this event, apart from having a great rowing experience, is to raise funds for the RFDS. All money raised and donated will go to support the RFDS's Mental Health Services. You can read more about this new initiative on our web site as follows: www.murrayrowathon.com/home/fundraising-for-rfds

An important part of this fundraising is, of course, personal or crew sponsorship from your friends, family, colleagues and so on.

A great way to do this is through "grassrootz", something we have communicated about earlier.  The "grassrootz" website is used for setting up your fundraising page, whether individual or club, so we encourage you to go to the "Fundraising for RFDS" page and then follow the instructions from "Start Fundraising".

All donations made through this site will receive an automatic tax receipt and a thank you email.

Alternatively you can include a donation with your Entry/Registration payment and we will arrange for tax receipts to be issued.

PAYMENT

Your crew entry payments need to be made at the time of registration online.

Sponsorship payments can be made prior to, on the day or soon after the event given that your team members may need to collect funds based on distance rowed. Please make payments by direct debit to our bank account as follows:
